Review Methodology
Review Methodology
BTTC only labels a conclusion as hands-on testing when the test setup and result are recorded. Product-listing summaries without that evidence are not scored reviews.
Shared Evaluation Areas
- Task success and failure behavior
- Processing time on identified hardware
- Output quality and metadata preservation
- Ease of use and accessibility
- Permissions, privacy behavior, and network use
- Pricing, limitations, and value
Category Tests
RAW conversion tests should identify camera formats, input files, output settings, color and metadata checks. MP4-to-MP3 tests should identify codecs, duration, bitrate, processing time, and output errors. Transcription tests should identify audio conditions, languages, duration, accuracy method, export formats, and whether processing is local or remote.
Ratings and Comparisons
Ratings are published only with a visible source and count. Comparisons use the same criteria for every included product. A BTTC-owned application is not guaranteed first place.
